New Single Is Ready To Fire

'Single 1' by Britney Spears has been added to the line up of upcoming singles in the latest release schedule from All Access Music Group/The Music Network.

The first quarter of 2010 sees a new single to radio from Brit sometime in March.  But she has some tough competition with the much anticipated "not comeback" single from Kylie Minogue, a new direction from Christina Aguilera, back to her roots Avril Lavigne, Aussie duo The Veronicas, Janet Jackson and Maroon 5 - just to name a few, all expected to drop in March.

Little is known about the first single from Britney - however if the past is anything to go on, it will be an absolute club banger.  We will be keeping an ear out for any further news on this as it happens.

Nothing has been listed, but it's looking like that is correct at this stage - depending on if the single is out by March.

I AGREE TOTALLY~! a few months back i was posting about is this Britney choice or the money eaters choice? I really think she was pushed into this, and I have a feeling she needed to make it to finish her contract by whatever date

There's no time limit on the contract, however as much as everyone wants to ignore it - this all does seem like an attempt at fulfilling her current contract.  For whatever reason, who knows.

Guess in time we will find that out - but this album will mark the final album to her current contract with Jive/Sony Music.

wow..march?  why not may..wait for everyone else to release their garbage..err I mean music...Tho I am sure Jive know what they are doing when they are releasing the single..after all they will want a 4th number one song

I'm still pushing for mid-April for the single to drop.

It makes more sense that way.

Mid-April single release,
Early-May video release,
Late-May physical single release,
Early June Album Release.

If it's March, then maybe they're going for the 2 singles before the album sort of thing. So have "Single 1" in March, then "Single 2" in late May to promote the album which will be released in June.

But as Brett put it, only time will tell

i'd prefer two singles before the album's released actually, means two hits so people think theres more to come and we'll be more in love with the final single. saying this i hope she releases like 6 singles from the album, doubt it but it'd be nice!

Upon further thought, 2 singles before the album is a little more feasible...simply because, it allows only another 2 singles after the albums release to take the project til the end of 2010. Then, take 2011 - 2013 off to find another label.

 why does it have to be so soon??? She needs to take more time out to work on it and make it perfect!! Not that i didnt like circus but she should have took more time out to work on it like she did with in the zone! And why doesnt she wait til the other lot bring there stuff then she will be guaranteed a number #1  not that she wouldnt anyway but the UK i'm not so sure!

hmmmm look sorry to sound nasty but this is the truth, Britney doesn't chart like those artists they are up there for weeks some even months! Britney is there for a week or 2 then just drops, I personally believe it is because of her image the media has molded and the fact that she desperately needs A COLLECTORS EDITION~! they sell like hot cakes, the packaging and all make for a better deal then downloading, most people will see it and be like oh wow im gonna buy that, if she has a normal cd its just another brick in a wall that can be downloaded. The "B" logo as like a tin type thing with the cd, behind the scenes etc. a nice documentary on the album would be nice, the dvd with circus was pretty half hearten in my opinion. She needs some big bang wow package that costs no more then $25-$30. If I where her team Id have the album+bonus tracks+making of dvd(at least an hour minimum)+ some outta this world packaging of the "B" logo +music video(s) Just my opinion and my thought of the last few of her album packages.
